He’s five and has his own St. Patrick’s day Irish I luckin’ fove beer shirt?! This is the problem nowadays parents don’t parent they let devices do it for them. How about you take the tablet away and go outside and spend time with him. My son loves video games and YouTube. At the same time, I can take him anywhere and he’ll find a kid to play with. Just give him opportunities to do other stuff. That is just what he likes to do with his, downtime. Replace it with a hobby that garners more interest. Right or wrong if you want anyone to do anything it helps to provide them with a choice or an alternative. Which might require some effort on your part too. Give him or afford him that opportunity. It may require your time or expense but everything good involves sacrifice. So offer or provide him with a hobby that will subsequently have him interacting with other children or people….or yourself. And that my friend could be anything. Maybe even something you can enjoy too. And it might be helpful to recognize there is nothing really inherently wrong with gaming or t.v. for that matter as long as there is moderation.

I’m a gamer my self but I know when it is a relaxing time, family time work time. I’m trying to teach him the same. They are too young to become gamers or software developers. they need to play and be active too. Mine all the time! My son loves watching other gamers play video games. I get so frustrated and am always asking why watch when you can go out and play the dang game yourself? But he doesn’t care. Then my daughter loves watching kids play with their toys. What is going on? Go play with YOUR toys! I limit the time they get.
